These two have been together for nearly a decade, they have a dog and they take one heck of a photo. I cannot wait for this awesome couple and their posse to celebrate their amazing love story at Granite Ridge. (Nicole if you're reading this - please sneak Waldo in as well, I'm sure he's an excellent hider.)

Tell me a little about you two

"Kyle and I have been together since we were 17 and have known him even before then - So we have been fortunate enough to grow and mature together. Kyle is a hardworker, kind, respectful person and has taught me so much about life and becoming a more independent person. Because he is a firefighter, EMT, and Fire Marshall he is extremely busy so we always make sure to appreciate the time we have together. We love to travel, but also couple feature, wedding blog, new england, rustic wedding, maine, maine weddinglove to just have a night in with our St. Bernard, Waldo." (Okay, so clearly these two have it all together.) Not to be outdone, Kyle also had some beautiful things to say about Nicole. "Nicole is a loving, fun, creative, and extremely patient person. Nicole balances me out and truly has taught me the importance of patience and the concept of slowing down and enjoying the important things in life." (I'm not crying, you're crying.)

How did you two meet?
"We met in high school starting out as friends. When he graduated and I was a senior is when we officially started dating. Our wedding will be one month shy of our ten year anniversary! Lets just say that our friends and family have been waiting for this moment for a long time. We are so happy and excited to be sharing GR, and our vows with all of them."

How did you two get engaged?
couple feature, wedding blog, new england, rustic wedding, maine, maine wedding"We were on a Road Trip cross-country with Kyle's brother and sister. Kyle popped the question in Yellowstone at one of the Campgrounds we had spent the night at. It was in along a creek with a hot spring." I think Kyle should teach courses on where and when to propose, because how amazing does location that sound?

What vision do you have for your wedding?
"Granite Ridge is stunning and the barn is a blank canvas to really make it your own. I called my vision "Romantic Woodland" - that really highlights the natural beauty of the venue. There will be a lot of organic features with a neutral color palette." Side note: This description made me wonder whether Nicole should take my job. "But more importantly - our vision for the wedding is creating unforgettable memories for not only us, but for our family and friends. We're so excited for our family and friends to get to see GR!"

What vendors are you excited about working with?
"To be honest everyone has been super helpful. Laurie Andrews will be making stunning floral-designs for us and Fausto from Blue Elephant has been super helpful in the planning process. My photographer Lex Nelson is amazing, we worked with her on our engagement photos and also we have Kris Roller doing our wedding film and is extremely talented. I am excited to see what he does with his drones." Obviously, these two have hired a pretty elite team.

Why did you choose Granite Ridge?

"They were the first vendor we had ever looked at. I found this barn even before I was engaged. Once we saw the site in person and met the amazing staff - there was no question that we would get married here. For Kyle - his mind was made up in a matter of minutes!"
