We first met Brittany Paul, owner and creative genius behind the lens of Bebe Photography, at our first wedding that we had here at Granite Ridge Estate & Barn. It was a beautiful day for a beautiful couple, and Brittany captured it perfectly. I recently met up with Brittany in Freeport for an interview about this new Maine wedding photographer and shopping. And a little more shopping. Here are 5 things you didn't know about Bebe Photography!
1. "I'm a Biochemist!"
"I graduated from USM in Portland, Maine and was fortunate to win the National Institute of Chemistry Award my senior year. I am currently developing medical products, from concept to production. Our focus is to create products that keep patients safe within areas of the medical field. My company works with international organizations to market their products globally."
2. "I just picked up a camera and rolled with it."
"I am self-taught, from techniques to editing, I basically just picked up my camera and started exploring. My interest in photography started in front of the camera, not behind it. For a few years in college, I modeled for new photographers. Behind the camera, my true creativity in photography, is my passion and purpose. I am primarily a Lifestyle and Wedding photographer. Newborns are my favorite because I get to hold and handle new, squishy little babies!"
3. "I have an extreme case of wanderlust. "
"My other passion besides photography is traveling; and photographing everything while I do. I have been to Thailand, Mexico and Jamaica. Secretly, I would LOVE to be a National Geographic photographer. How amazing would that be?!"
I then asked her the all important question- Where would you want to travel to take pictures? Her answer, "The Forks in Washington state... Because I am obsessed with Twilight. Ha! It's true. I wasn't a fan until the second movie and it was too late, I was hooked. I love the similar feel Washington seems to have in comparison to Maine, but with a little more mystery. Definitely Team Jacob!!"

4. "This may be super cliche, but I am obsessed with gardening..."
and other traditional Maine activities. I am fanatic about decorating for each season, and each holiday. Actually, I will decorate for any reason, any excuse. My right brained, creative side balances out my left brained, science side. It's a perfect combination! "
5. "I'm a Parrot Head!"
"I have been going to Jimmy Buffet Concerts, in Mansfield, Massachusetts, with my family for a couple years now. We LOVE the vibe and how the music makes you feel like you're in a tropical paradise! These festivals consist of shark hats, hula skirts, buses converted into pirate ships, margaritas, shot luges and an endless amount of shenanigans!"
