Building a Maine barn wedding venue that is of the size desired by our brides and grooms is no small task. The construction process has been a pretty incredible sight to see first hand.First things first, excavation. We first met Scott Roberts of Roberts Excavation Co. about two months ago. He has been an absolute pleasure to work with so far. He is a one-man show, operating several different large pieces of equipment with precise ease. A true professional, Scott has been efficient and allowing us to move ahead on the building of the barn. The structure itself is being constructed by Matt and Dennis Taber, owners of Trees to Timber Frames, in neighboring town, Harrison. The excavation and foundation process is absolutely crucial to everything else fitting properly on top and we have all belief in Scott to achieve what we need. As of today, a lot of earth has been moved and set to level for the foundation. Lots more needs to be done but it is moving along quickly. We wanted to share these pictures with our up coming couples to see the progress.
